Daniela Vankova - Hanzalova was born in Cesky Krumlov in 1975. She is a member of the Brno Goldsmith Association and of the Union of Visual Artists of the Czech Republic v Associaci jihoceskych vytvarniku.
The focus of her artistic activities lies in original and custom made jewellery design, classical jewellery and jewellery repair.

Education:
1990-1994: Secondary School of Applied Arts in Turnov, where she specialized in the artistic processing of metals and precious stones, with emphasis on gold and silversmithing

Professional experience
1994-1996: she worked for the Jana Kralova jewellery shop in Ceske Budejovice.

Since 1996 she has been a freelance artist.

Participation in competitions
1999: Finals of the Tahitian Pearl Trophy with her "Double ring" – now a registered industrial design no. 2001-33248.
(The ring is worn even by Beata Rajska, the famous fashion designer).

2000: 2nd place at Stribrny Sperk Brno 2000 competition, in the category of Modern Commercial Jewellery. The competition was held by the Brno Goldsmith Association.

2001: 1st and 2nd place at Stribrny Sperk Brno 2001 competition, in the categories of Modern Commercial Jewellery and Studio Jewellery.

2002: 2nd and 3rd place at Stribrny Sperk Brno 2002 competition, in the category of Studio Jewellery

Artistic Vision
Design and production of original jewellery made of gold, silver, copper and stainless steel, in combination with natural and artificial stones, wood, paper, bone, etc.

Non-traditional surface treatment, contrast of material structures and use of space.
Outstanding shapes and suitability of modern jewellery: “Doublering”, breast pins, necklaces, locking hoops, bracelets worn on ankles and wrists, special earrings worn behind the ear (so called “zausnice”), hair clips, buckles, etc.
Custom made jewellery with guidance in the selection according to personality type and range of customer’s clothes.
